Y onathan Darmon was born in Morocco in 1944 and studiedat the Ecole Beaux Arts in Toulouse (France) and in Israel at Ein Hod and Haifa University.

Y onathan Darmon's sculpture defines itself by unique style, having clean and elegant lines and a play of light and shadow which accentuate the contrast in the art work. The artist haven't stopped here and he demands more of himself. Recently he created few mobile sculptures which their patinas offer a wide variety of unique oxidation colors.

Y onathan Darmon's sculptures have been exhibited in galleries and art centers in Paris, London, New York, Lille, Taiwan, and Montreal, as well as in Tel - Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. His works can be found in privatecollections in over 20 cities around the world, and many of them have been purchased by galleries for their permanent collections.

Y onathan Darmon's sculptures have also been commissioned by major institutions. Darmon's "Large Bird" is mounted on the grounds of the Kupat Holim clinic center in Haifa.

D armon's 'War and Peace Memorial" of bronze and stone mixed media, four meters high, stands in the Public Garden of Safed.

S everal of his sculptures have been integrated into the design of the Carmelia Synagogue in Haifa.

A t the request of the Jewish Agency, his bust of Lt. General David Elazar was installed at 'the Dado.

T he speaker of the Israeli Knesset Mr. Shevah Weiss has purchased one of Darmon's sculptures.

T he speaker of the Canadian Senate, Mr Guy Charbonneau, has also purchased one of Darmon's sculptures.

D armon's work is included in the private collections of the Khayat family, Haifa, and Mr. Merv Adeison, producer of the TV series "Dynasty", Los Angeles. And Westheimer Family (Tefen Museum).
